About This Spot

Arriving at Tommy's Dutch Lunch, you step into a humble, tightly knit corner of Walla Walla where time seems to slow down just enough to savor a good meal and quiet company. The space is small but inviting, its worn booths and simple counter seating drawing a steady flow of familiar faces alongside curious newcomers. It’s the kind of place where the clatter of dishes and low murmur of conversations form a comfortable soundtrack, making even an early morning feel slower and softer.

The rhythm here is unhurried yet assured, a welcome contrast to bustling menus elsewhere. There’s a gentle hum of community, as if this spot quietly holds a place in many daily routines, especially for those who appreciate hearty, honest breakfasts and lunch specials that nourish without fuss. Whether you’re sharing a table with friends or perched by the window watching life move outside, the atmosphere feels like an easy conversation—familiar, steady, and sincere.

Meal times at Tommy’s Dutch Lunch unfold with generous plates that are as much about feeling satisfied as indulging in nostalgia. The kitchen’s care is clear in dishes that carry warmth beyond the plate: omelets that arrive crowned with rich gravy, golden biscuits dripping with comforting sauce, and stacks of hotcakes that invite slow bites between sips of robust coffee. This is food with an unpretentious heart—made fresh, served quickly, and meant to be shared or savored in solitude with the day just beginning or winding down.

The clientele reflects this grounded spirit—mostly locals, often working folk, sometimes families carrying on their own quiet traditions. It’s the kind of place where nods of recognition and brief exchanges feel just as nourishing as the servings themselves.

In the end, Tommy’s Dutch Lunch offers more than a meal: it offers a moment of calm within the daily rush, a reminder that small pleasures—simple flavors, warm hospitality, and shared spaces—can leave a lasting impression long after the last bite.

Either I was starving or their food was awesome. I cleaned up the plate (left some hashbrowns). Coffee was hot and not stale. You can tell when restaurants make things in advance (you know who you are). Their food was fresh and hot. Will be back!!

So the food was better than the average diner, the service was excellent. And I gave the atmosphere five stars because it reminded me a lot of lunch counters from when I was younger. It's a small place, but well visited even on an early Saturday morning. Crowd tends to be a little bit older, but not all of them and it was a mixed crowd. Mostly working people. Good place to grab breakfast or lunch. The lunch menu really looks good and I plan on coming back later today for lunch. Since I have to come to Walla Walla for work on a fairly regular basis, this is going to be one of my staple places for breakfasts and maybe for lunch. I noticed that someone had posted a menu, but it only showed one side. I'm posting both.

Tiny spot that has great portions for the price! Food was served hot and quick. It's been a long time since I've had a breakfast spot do both. If you're in the area, you should definitely give them a try.

I've been here a ton of times and am always recommending it to people. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the prices are perfect. You get a ton of food for what you pay for and as I sat listening to other people who had never been here before, they had nothing but great things to say. It's a little mom and pop diner thats super small but honestly the top breakfast place in my opinion. I included a menu since I didn't see anything recent online. If you haven't been here yet, hurry up!

Absolutely scrumptious breakfast! Huge portions that kept our family of 8 more than satisfied. We were seated quickly, and our server’s constant, friendly smile made the morning even brighter. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
